After a period of low activity, Romanian market for industrial construction has been on the rise for the last two years.
Industrial developers near Bucharest and other regions are focusing on new types of industrial buildings with larger spans and dimensions, thus increasing demand for precast industrial construction.
Moldtech has been developing the market for a few years, offering its equipment and know-how in cooperation with its local agent, First Technology. As a result, an agreement was signed last year to supply and install a complete modern precast plant for an important local construction firm focusing on industrial building projects.
The scope of supply includes a hydraulic double mould with 36m length for columns with section up to 1x1m, a 100m casting bed for prestressed elements up to 1000tn capacity, moulds for I beams and TI-TL beams, 2 tilting tables 12x4m, a 70m length hydraulic self-reacting mould for TT elements, a versatile battery mould and a concrete transport and distribution system.
Together with the equipment, our engineering department is also cooperating with the client providing its know-how and experience in precast. Including assistance with design and calculation of precast elements, concrete mix, plant operation procedures and personnel training, setting up a technical department, etc.
The project is now in its design and execution stage and production of the first precast elements is planned to start this spring.
