The Caribbean Island of Curaçao, located near Venezuela, is going to construct a public park where the walkways have to incorporate a large amount of stairs.

Instead of using a traditional cast in situ system with wooden shutters the contractor has preferred to use mechanical stair moulds of Moldtech made out of steel as this will make it possible to speed up the project execution time and assure high quality standards.

The 6 steel moulds will be shipped in a 20ft standard dry container with a special arrangement to allow easy extraction of the moulds from the containers, thereby avoiding having to use the more expensive Open top containers.

The moulds come “ready-for-use” so no installation services are required as the client can install the moulds by himself following the corresponding instruction manual.

This supply is an example of how precast can be used even in more basic construction projects.
