Moldtech has developed a set of heads for a prestressing bed with a maximum capacity of 600 tonnes, designed for the production of prestressed concrete beams. The solution accommodates different beam cross-sections, with varying heights and widths, within the equipment’s specified load limits.
The scope of supply comprises an active head and a passive head, equipped with anchorage plates for positioning and anchoring the prestressing strands. This arrangement allows the strand layout to be adapted to the requirements of each beam.
The active head incorporates a hydraulic detensioning system with two lower 300-tonne cylinders and two upper 50-tonne cylinders, each with a maximum stroke of 400 mm. The assembly also includes locking collars, protective strand enclosures and safety screens for production operations.
With this project, Moldtech provides a solution that combines prestressing capacity, configuration flexibility and dedicated strand detensioning equipment for the industrial production of precast concrete beams.
