Moldtech has developed a modular side mould system for the production of precast concrete I-beams, with a maximum production length of 43 metres and different geometric configurations.
The assembly consists of five longitudinal modules, four measuring 10 metres and one measuring 3 metres, allowing the production of beams with heights of 1,300, 1,500 and 1,800 mm. Its modular design incorporates interchangeable 200 and 300 mm extensions to adapt the mould cross-section to the required dimensions.
The side moulds feature a pneumatic vibration system with 18 vibrators distributed along the structure to promote concrete compaction during the manufacturing process.
The equipment incorporates upper locking systems with Dywidag tie rods, support structures and working platforms, as well as removable sections for the installation of side corbels. The assembly is designed to operate on a universal casting bed, allowing different precast concrete I-beam cross-sections to be produced.
