3D MOULD FOR PRECAST CONCRETE PRISON MODULES

Moldtech has carried out the technical upgrade of a 3D mould designed to manufacture non-prestressed precast concrete modules for prison facilities in different dimensions and configurations.

The equipment incorporates hydraulically operated external side panels, interchangeable 102 and 381 mm bases, adjustment elements and different formwork components that allow the thickness, height and geometry of the manufactured elements to be modified. It also includes a specific side panel for producing modules with projecting sections or balconies.

The mould can produce elements in three different heights: 3.035 m, 2.629 m and 1.589 m, by adjusting the base system and using specific height extensions.

The hydraulic system controls the opening and closing of the external panels and the movements required during moulding and demoulding. A pneumatic vibration system supports the flow and homogeneous compaction of the concrete.

The technical upgrade expands the range of geometries that can be manufactured and adapts the equipment to different production requirements through interchangeable structural components and formwork elements.
