The mould supplied by Moldtech is designed to produce bridge piers of variable height, with very high dimensions and weight. It is designed to cast these elements in a 90° rotated position, with a fixed base, hydraulically opening/closing sides and adjustable position locking caps to suit the different pier heights of the project.
The operation of the mould is highly efficient thanks to the hydraulic system and its robust construction, given the dimensions of the parts, guarantees unbeatable tolerances, obtaining high quality parts.
In addition to the mould, Moldtech has also supplied a customized tool for the production of the reinforcement. This is crucial to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the manufacture of these concrete piers.
The mould is now producing precast elements at full capacity at the customer’s UK facility to meet the demanding production requirements.
