HYDRAULIC MOULD FOR 3D PREFABRICATED BATHROOMS PBU IN HONG KONG

Moldtech strengthen its position as a technological leader in 3d prefabricated, prefinished, volumetric construction (PPVC & PBU). More and more companies are relying on this technology as it has clear advantages, such as an increase in productivity, up to a 40% in terms of manpower and execution times reduction, minimum waste and pollution at construction sites, safety improvement, as well as a highly improved quality control.

For this project Moldtech has supplied and commissioned a hydraulic 3d mould to produce prefabricated bathroom units PBU, produced in one monolithic piece with all walls and the floor slab. Thanks to its hydraulic functioning that allows shrinking the core and remove the finished PBU in a record time, it allows producing at least one piece per day with the best structural properties.

Together with the mould the client has also acquired an adjustable turning machine, which allows turning different sizes of PBU elements upside-down to leave them in the final installation position. Once turned, these PBU elements are pre-finished at a factory with finishes, electrical conduits and plumbing pipes, sanitary elements, ceiling, and fixtures, to be delivered to construction site completed up to a 90%.

This type of technology for 3d precast elements has already been successfully installed in quite a few countries in 4 continents.
