Moldtech continues to revolutionize the precast market with its hydraulic 3D molds that are used both for the manufacture of bathrooms and for housing modules.
This time, Moldtech was selected as a supplier to design, manufacture and install PBU molds for bathrooms in Miami, USA.
The 3D moulds allow the client to precast the walls and floor of the bathroom as a monolithic structure after which the casted element is turned 180º. The prefabricated bathroom is then finished at the customer’s premises in several steps involving waterproofing, laying of tiles, installation of fittings etc… so that the bathroom can be shipped to the construction site almost “ready to use”. This methodology offers a series of advantages such as the improvement of quality standards and higher control over the duration of the project since fewer people are required to work on the construction site.
Moldtech supplied a total of 6 moulds in 2 different sizes: the inner core of these moulds includes a hydraulically retractable system thereby allowing to perform the de-moulding in a swift manner without the need for conical slope. A total of 2 hydraulic units were delivered to control a total of 6 moulds.
Our client has recently begun to manufacture the first concrete elements, obtaining excellent results.
