EIn the French market, precast concrete is characterized by a marked coexistence between residential construction, with high architectural demands, and industrial construction, focused on repeatability and structural reliability. This reality requires precast plants to be equipped with systems capable of meeting the needs of both sectors within the same production environment, while maintaining process control and ensuring the quality of the final product.
Within this framework, the project currently under development between Moldtech and CMEG includes the supply of 8 tilting tables measuring 8 x 4.5 m, intended for the production of non-prestressed precast concrete panels for industrial and residential applications.
CMEG: Prefabrication Serving Diverse Projects
Based in Normandy, CMEG operates in the field of construction and prefabrication of concrete elements, focusing on solutions that combine architectural quality, dimensional control, and production adaptability. Its positioning aligns with a strong trend in France: the in-plant production of increasingly diversified elements without compromising process stability or precision.
In this context, investment in flexible equipment becomes a key factor in supporting market evolution, particularly when projects are conceived with a progressive and medium-term vision.
Tilting Tables for Large-Format Panels
The tilting tables supplied by Moldtech form part of a set of 8 tilting tables to be delivered between 2025 and 2026. They have been designed for the production of large-format precast panels, commonly used in both industrial enclosures and residential façades and building envelopes.
With a useful surface of 8.0 m in length and 4.5 m in width each, the installation enables the production of panels with variable thicknesses between 150 and 350 mm, with predefined heights that facilitate production organization and geometric repeatability.
Technical Configuration and Operation
From a technical standpoint, each table integrates a tilting system operated by hydraulic cylinders, controlled from the main control cabinet of the supplied hydraulic power unit. This tilting mechanism, with a maximum inclination of 74°, facilitates demolding and panel handling operations, improving ergonomics and safety along the production line.
Thickness adjustment is carried out manually through a longitudinal lower side rail adjustable in height, complemented by foldable transverse side rails, allowing adaptation of the tables to different panel configurations without additional mechanical complexity.
The installation also incorporates a pneumatic vibration system designed to optimize concrete compaction and enhance the surface quality of the produced elements.
Auxiliary Elements and Adaptability
The supply is completed with a set of spacers and adapters that expand the operational possibilities of the tables:
- IMT1800 spacers in 3 m and 5 m lengths
- “S” adapters for IMT1800 and IMT2100
These elements allow the installation configuration to be adapted to different panel types, reinforcing production flexibility—an aspect highly valued in the French context.
Applications in Residential and Industrial Construction
Thanks to their configuration, the tilting tables enable CMEG to manufacture panels intended for:
- Residential projects, where geometric control and surface finish are essential.
- Industrial applications, requiring robust and repeatable elements manufactured under controlled conditions.
The combination of hydraulic tilting and pneumatic vibration contributes both to final product quality and to production process optimization.
A Response Aligned with the Evolution of the French Market
The growing development of off-site solutions in France and the need to increase production within controlled environments are driving the adoption of versatile equipment capable of responding to a wide variety of projects. In this context, the project developed together with CMEG aligns with a vision of prefabrication based on process control, adaptability, and consistent quality.
With this ongoing project, Moldtech continues to expand its activity in the French market, providing solutions for the industrial production of precast panels for the residential and industrial sectors, in line with the current needs of plants seeking to combine technical rigor, flexibility, and reliability in their processes.
