Moldtech – leading company in precast technology has supplied two fully updated units of “Giraffe” vehicle to a prominent company in Florida, United States.
La Giraffe by Moldtech: Efficiency and Sustainability in Concrete Transportation
“Giraffe”, Moldtech’s self-propelled vehicle, emerges as a practical solution for transporting and pouring concrete in precast plants, without the need for an overhead crane.
This versatile and efficient machine stands out for its technical characteristics and its ability to adapt to changing market demands.
What is notable about this equipment is its compliance with the new US legislation on diesel engine emissions EUR V, demonstrating Moldtech’s ability to adapt to the most demanding safety and sustainability regulations.
The new legislation established strict limits for emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and diesel particles. These regulations seek to reduce environmental impact and improve air quality.
The vehicle has front hydraulic direction, a 3 m³ transport hopper, a speed of up to 10 km/h and a powerful 70 kW engine. In addition, “Giraffe” complies with safety regulations by including a parking brake system and cooling of the hydraulic system by radiator.
Innovation in the Concrete Pouring Process
The discharge gate, with a length of 4 meters, has a system that drives the concrete towards the pouring gate, and is characterized by a guillotine-type closure. The working angle of the endless conveyer is up to 17°, allowing adaptability to a wide variety of molds and equipment.
Ease of operation and operator safety are the most important features of the “Giraffe” vehicle. Its intuitive control system allows the operator to precisely and safely direct all vehicle movements.
Expansion of “Giraffe” in the international market
This innovative vehicle is already in operation in industrial precast plants with Moldtech technology in various locations around the world, such as Medellín (Colombia), Brasov (Romania), Philippines, Pitesti (Romania), Portugal, Miami (United States), Guinea Conakry, Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Bucharest (Romania), among others.
Having a concrete transportation and pouring system in a single machine not only reduces investment in equipment and personnel costs, but also provides exceptional flexibility and adaptability in precast plants.
Moldtech’s “Giraffe” vehicle reaffirms its commitment to developing advanced solutions that not only meet the expectations of the present, but also pave the way towards a more sustainable and efficient future in construction.
