Moldtech is strengthening its presence in North America with the supply of three moulds for the mass production of precast box culverts, together with three sets of side formwork, a set of 18 interchangeable bottoms. This technology will enable our client, an expert in civil engineering projects, to successfully meet a major challenge in Monterrey, a city in Mexico, characterised by its economic and industrial dynamism.
Technical data: Innovation in every detail
The moulds for box culverts supplied are designed to optimise the mass production of concrete elements, including:
- Modular design: Each mould consists of an inner formwork, an outer formwork and a set of bottoms. Assembled, they form a precise structure that shapes the element to be manufactured.
- Adaptable varieties: Available in two variants:
- Whole structure: Designed for the production of complete box culverts.
- Modular structure: They allow flexibility in the manufacture of segmented box culverts.
- Mass production capability: They include a set of 18 additional bottoms, which streamline the production process and allow for greater efficiency on site.
- Technical dimensions: Each box culvert has standard dimensions of 5.5 x 1.5 metres.
Innovation for river canalisation production
The precast concrete box culverts produced with our moulds are designed to meet the highest standards of quality and functionality in infrastructure, in this case hydraulic infrastructure.
Thanks to its:
- Resistant to high flows and pressures, they guarantee a constant flow even during periods of flooding.
- Adaptability to the environment, adjusting to the geometry of the watercourse to optimise its performance.
- Durability and easy maintenance, minimising long-term costs.
- Guaranteed watertightness, protecting the environment and preventing leaks.
These box culverts will be key to channelling rivers, preventing flooding and protecting Monterrey’s urban and industrial areas.
Monterrey: Mexico’s vanguard
Monterrey is not only known as the industrial capital of Mexico, but also as an epicentre of progressive development. This civil works project is a reflection of the city’s commitment to sustainable growth and the implementation of modern solutions for its water infrastructure.
Moldtech: Building the future
With an extensive track record in the Americas, Moldtech continues to be committed to innovation and the development of precast solutions that transform the construction sector. We have participated in projects that not only solve immediate needs, but also provide long-term value, contributing to the growth of the communities where we work.
Our commitment to the future of construction continues to be the driving force behind each of our projects. This delivery in Monterrey reinforces our mission to continue building quality infrastructure that makes a difference.
