Moldtech has recently shipped manual molds for wet cast box culverts to Panama, Romania, El Salvador, and is currently working on projects for Guinea Conakry and Ivory Coast.
It is worse to note that the countries, such as Panama, Romania, El Salvador, Guinea Conakry and Ivory Coast, have experienced significant improvements in their infrastructures in recent years. Moldtech has positioned itself as a strategic ally by developing extremely simple and robust equipment for these markets.
These projects are focused on the use of Moldtech’s modular molds, designed specifically for the manufacture of precast box culverts and half-frames using wet cast method.
The distinctive feature of these molds is their manual assembly and opening, allowing the joining of elements according to the specific dimensions of the box culverts to be produced. Depending on the formwork set supplied, it is possible to reach up to 7 meters in width, providing flexibility in design and construction. In addition, the fixing system is used to add additional supplements to the outer mold. That allows adjusting the thickness of the precast box culverts.
When demolding the piece, it is possible to remove the inner and the outer mold in four parts each, what implies that they don´t have to be totally disassemble and simplifies the production process for series of pieces with the same measures.
Spacing tubes with Dywidag rods and nuts are used as locking system in the upper part.
This equipment is easily transportable on site, solving the problem of logistics. The pieces can be produced with flat or male-female joints.
These precast box culverts find application in a variety of civil engineering projects, including subways and water pipe protection, among others. The versatility of Moldtech’s molds has become an integral solution to construction challenges in these countries.
Moldtech’s commitment goes beyond the delivery of products, extending to the promotion of sustainable, innovative and efficient construction practices. By collaborating in these projects, the company reaffirms its commitment to responsible construction and actively contributes to the economic and social progress of these nations.
