Moldtech Completes Installation of 3D Mold for Bathrooms (PBU), in New Zealand

Moldtech, a pioneer in mold technology for precast concrete, reaffirms its commitment to industrialized construction as the future of the sector. In a context where productivity and quality are priorities, industrialized construction emerges as a key solution. This methodology, based on the manufacturing of components outside the construction site and their subsequent assembly, offers advantages such as reduction of construction times, optimization of resources and quality assurance at each stage of the process.

Moldtech has successfully completed the installation of an advanced 3D mold for prefabricated bathrooms (PBU), with a prominent New Zealand company. With more than half a century of experience in the sector, this company has earned recognition for its commitment to the manufacturing and installation of top-quality concrete products.

This mold system allows the manufacturing of prefabricated 3D concrete bathroom units, all in a single piece that includes floor and walls. Prefabricated bathrooms are molded in an inverted position, creating monolithic elements with an impeccable finish. Once the units have been cured, they are rotated 180º for final finishing works and are ready for installation.

These concrete pieces are designed with a floor slab and walls, which allows the integration of all the necessary sanitary installations, as well as the pre-installation of wiring and electrical accessories. Each mold is customized according to the specific dimensions and requirements provided by the client, ensuring a tailored solution for each project.

With this new advancement in mold technology, Moldtech, together with its New Zealand collaborator, continues to lead this transformation in the industry, offering solutions that redefine construction standards.

Moldtech has been betting on this construction method for more than a decade, and we have completed successful projects with this methodology around the world, Uruguay, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, France, Canada, Sri Lanka, USA, Chile…, among others.

The future of industrialized construction is seen as a scenario where technology and sustainability combine to transform the way we built. This project demonstrates the potential of innovation in construction, paving the way towards a more productive and environmentally friendly sector.
