Moldtech has supplied a client in Slovenia with a high-capacity mould, designed for manufacturing long, prestressed TT slabs with variable cross-sections. This technical solution reinforces the industrialization of precast concrete in the industrial sector, and is being applied to European projects with demanding structural requirements.

The execution of large-scale infrastructure and building projects presents one of the greatest challenges for industrial prefabrication: combining structural capacity, geometric precision, and production reliability in large-format elements. In this context, Moldtech has supplied a 600-ton, 50-meter-long TT mould to one of Slovenia’s leading construction companies.

The client has extensive experience in developing construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects, standing out for its execution capabilities, technical approach, and commitment to advanced construction solutions. The incorporation of a high-capacity system for manufacturing prestressed elements is part of its strategy for industrialization, quality control, and process optimization in projects with high structural demands.

The mould for TT slabs of 600-ton capacity and L = 50 m, designed and manufactured by Moldtech, is intended for the production of prestressed concrete elements with variable cross-sections, suitable for long-span structures. The system comprises four modules, forming a continuous production line with a usable length of 50 meters. This configuration facilitates both the transport of the equipment and its installation at the factory.

Thanks to its modular and configurable design, the mould allows for the production of pieces with maximum dimensions of up to 2,500 mm slab width, 500 mm depth, and 50 meters length. It incorporates interchangeable bottom sections that allow for adjusting the rib width according to the specific requirements of each project.

The equipment is pre-installed with an electric vibration system, including vibrators and connections, which ensures proper compaction of the concrete during the manufacturing process and contributes to both the surface quality and the structural performance of the resulting pieces.

One of the key elements of the supply is its prestressing capacity of up to 600 tons, designed to operate with cable tensioning and detensioning processes. This capacity is distributed by four 150-ton relaxation cylinders, located in the active stressing head—two per lane—allowing for precise, balanced, and safe control of the forces applied during the process.

The production line is supplied with all integrated hydraulic systems, including the hydraulic relaxation unit for coordinated cable detensioning, the hydraulic movement unit for opening and closing the sides, and the prestressing equipment compatible with the mould’s total capacity. The assembly is completed with an active stressing head, a passive stressing head, and an adjustable central core, which, together with the sides and stoppers, define the final geometry of the beams to be manufactured.

To optimize operations and guarantee consistent final product quality, the system also incorporates auxiliary equipment such as a hydraulic relaxation unit, a vibration system for concrete compaction, tensioning accessories, and phenolic formwork for geometric control of the components.

With this supply, Moldtech consolidates its collaboration with the Client and reinforces its position as a provider of high-capacity technical solutions for precast concrete in the industrial sector, contributing engineering, reliability, and adaptability to projects that require the manufacture of large-format structural elements to the highest technical standards.
