A robust solution for the production of delta beams in the industrial sector

Moldtech has successfully completed a new supply in Ukraine for a strategic partner in the precast concrete industry, enhancing production capacity in a market that demands solid, durable structures adapted to highly demanding environments.

The project includes a 400 t self-reacting prestressing system, integrating both stressing heads (active and passive) within a 50-metre casting bed. This configuration, together with the side moulds and bottom plates, forms the mould necessary for producing beams and other structural elements.

Scope of supply

  • 400 t self-reacting prestressing system with stressing heads.
  • 50 m interchangeable bottom plate system.
  • Modular side moulds for delta beams of 18, 21 and 24 m, equipped with electrical vibration and heating system.
  • 30 cm wide bottom plate.
  • Hydraulic detensioning unit.

Delta beams for industrial construction

The supplied modular side moulds allow for the production of prestressed delta beams, extensively used in the construction of industrial buildings, warehouses, and agricultural or livestock facilities.

Thanks to their modular design, different lengths and heights may be manufactured while preserving the slope of the upper flange. The system ensures continuity and watertightness, minimising marks on the concrete and delivering a high-quality finish. Furthermore, the self-reacting design withstands tensions of up to 400 t, simplifying both installation and subsequent relocation of the equipment to other production sites.

Self-reacting prestressing systems

This system integrates the stressing heads needed for tensioning and detensioning, able to withstand forces up to 400 t. The universal casting bed includes two reacting columns arranged in parallel.

The prestressing heads are designed to transfer force directly to these reacting columns, which simplifies installation and dismantling, and facilitates the system’s relocation to another production site moldtechsl.esTunnels & Infrastructures.

Market context in Ukraine

The precast sector in Ukraine is showing clear signs of recovery. The construction industry is projected to grow by 16.2 % in 2025, driven by reconstruction, international aid, and strategic infrastructure projects.

Similarly, the precast segment is forecast to grow by nearly 4 % annually until 2030, fuelled by demand for fast, durable, and sustainable solutions in housing, infrastructure, and the industrial sector.

In this context, Moldtech provides solutions that ensure structural strength, durability, and long-term safety compared to other systems less suited to demanding environments.

Moldtech and its partner: a strategic collaboration

This alliance bolsters Moldtech’s presence in a market where the industrialisation of concrete is essential to meet large-scale project requirements. The Ukrainian partner combines engineering expertise, production capacity, and a strong commitment to developing modern infrastructure in the country.
