In order to attend the requests by many of their clients, Moldtech has incorporated a vehicle for the transport and pouring of the concrete in its ever-expanding product line. This vehicle, called Giraffe, provides a very good solution for bringing the concrete to the mould when there is no flying bucket or pouring buckets available or when pouring directly from a truck mixer is neither an option.
The concrete can be poured directly from the batching plant or truck into the vehicle which will travel from there to the mould. The vehicle offers a lot of flexibility as the upper part of the vehicle can turn 180º or 360º (depending on the version) and the conveyer can reach heights up to 4 meters. Also, the reduced width of the vehicle (2.5 meters) allows the maneuver easily inside a precast factory.
The vehicle features a Perkins diesel engine which can be serviced worldwide and which provides a total of 101 CV of power. Presently, the standard capacity of the hopper is 3m2 with the possibility to increase another 1m3. In the case of using self-compacting concrete the vehicle can be equipped with a hydraulic shutter and plates to cover the conveyer belt. There are also other options available like an extender plates for more controlled pour of the concrete or back view camera for increased safety.
Since its introduction, this vehicle has been successfully used in wide variety of places ranging from Latin America, Europe and Africa. The vehicle can be shipped in a 40ft open top container and be prepared for operation in less than 4 hours.
