Due to the high volume of work, mainly for overseas markets, this October Moldtech is to take on a new expansion of their facilities. This will be the second time in two years that Moldtech has increased their productive capacity. The previous time, in 2013, they purchased the current facilities.
By the end of the ongoing work, the company will boast an additional productive area of 2,500 m² (almost 27,000 ft²) on which to install high-tech machinery for metallic transformation. What is more, this will lead to the creation of about 20 new high added value jobs. There will also be an additional 600-m² (almost 6,500 ft²) extension of the current office space. After expansion, the company will have a total area of 15,000 m² (3.7 acres) of which 6,000 m² (1.4 acres) will be used for production purposes, and 1,200 m² (almost 13,000 ft²) for office space. The total number of employees will reach 85.
The investment amounts to about €1.5 million (US$1.75 million) and the works will be completed in the spring of 2018. This reinforcement of the productive capacity is in line with the company’s strategic plan, whose goal is to reach a total turnover of €10 million (US$11.7 million) in 2018.
With machinery installed in more than 40 countries, Moldtech is a leading company in the field of capital goods for the precast concrete industry. The company has been working steadily in varied markets, including the United States, Algeria, Russia, India or Colombia. Moldtech’s activities range from design and conception of machinery to implementation and employee training.
