The building company Teyma makes progress with 3D moulds according to plan for the commissioning of Punta Rieles Correctional Facility. This is Uruguay’s first public-private project.
The correction facilities, sponsored by Uruguay’s Home Office public-private funds, will be up and running by the end of 2017.
The premises, made up of 25 buildings and other common areas, represent the adaptation of 42.000 m2 into a self-sufficient urban space fitted for the reintegration and re-education of those deprived of freedom.
The construction, whose current level of progress lies at 60%, is expected to be completed by mid-2017. Immediately after, the facilities will be put into operation and tested.
Moldtech has taken part in this emblematic project through the design, manufacturing and implementation of taylor-made moulds for the production of 3D moulds of precast concrete and other 3D elements.
