Moldtech ultimates a new project in Romania installing several moulds to produce precast concrete elements for civil works, including moulds to manufacture wet Precast box culverts.

Moldtech has extensive experience in development and manufacture of the equipment for infrastructure projects around the world. Often these supplies include moulds for box culverts and half frames.

At Moldtech we offer two systems for manufacturing box culverts and half-frames:

  1. Modular mould for wet cast culverts. It is a modular system of steel formworks; the assembly and the opening of these moulds is performed manually. The necessary amount of interior and exterior formworks is joined according to the dimensions of the culvert to be casted. In this way, the dimensions of the box culvert as well as its thickness can be adjusted. Optionally, the mould can be designed to cast the box culverts and half-frames with male-female joints. The height of culverts and half-frames is adjusted through the use of interchangeable bottoms.
  2. MT-20 dry cast system for vibropressed box culverts. It is a modular system designed for high productivity of precast box culverts since it allows the use of dry cast method. The external formwork, internal formwork and the bases are adjustable, adding or removing supplements to achieve a wide variety of measurements and thicknesses according to clients’ needs. The mould has an electric vibration system and a pressing unit controlled by hydraulic unit.

Using the MT-20 mould, a production of up to 10 units per 8-hour shift can be achieved using an ideal concrete formulation and skilled labour force.
